In a January survey of 1, women nationwide, 81 percent reported experiencing some form of sexual harassment, assault, or both in their lifetime. Verbal harassment was the most common form, but 51 percent of women said they were touched or groped in an unwelcome way, while 27 percent of women survived sexual assault.

It's also a mystery why the very young age of 30 seems to be a signifier of great wisdom, with lists springing up everywhere about things every woman should know or things every woman should have by the time they reach this mythical age. The truth is, it's a milestone just like any other birthday but the riddles of the universe do not reveal themselves the day you enter your third decade. There is something to be said for the idea that this particular age is a great time to start examining the things you really want from life—and if you're not there yet, that's perfectly fine.
